CHN Energy Longyuan Power Reports Solid Mid-2025 Results

On August 20, CHN Energy Longyuan Power released its interim results. As of June 30, 2025, the company’s controlled installed capacity reached 43.20 GW, all from renewable sources, including 31.40 GW of wind power, 11.79 GW of PV power, and 0.0061 GW from other renewables. In the first half of the year, it achieved operating revenue of RMB 15.66 billion, total profit of RMB 4.96 billion, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 3.38 billion.


In the first half, renewable power generation reached 39.65 billion kWh, up 12.73% year-on-year. The company secured 4.75 GW of new development quota, comprising 2.98 GW of wind power and 1.77 GW of PV power. Net new installed capacity under control totaled 2.05 GW, including 0.99 GW of wind and 1.10 GW of PV.

On the marketing side, the company dynamically optimized trading strategies to better align medium- and long-term contracts with spot transactions. In the first half, the average on-grid tariff for wind power was RMB 422/MWh, and for PV power RMB 273/MWh. Green power trading reached 4.14 billion kWh, up 41.67% year-on-year, while green certificate trading rose 81.46% to 4.23 million certificates.

In technological innovation, the company secured approval for national key projects such as Key Technologies and Software Development for Multi-Scenario Wind Farm Planning and Design. Its Technical Guidelines for Online Monitoring of Offshore Wind Farm Submarine Cable Operations were approved by the National Energy Administration, filling an industry gap. Five scientific and technological achievements were recognized as reaching an international leading level.

The company also advanced the Qingyuan large-scale industry model, the world’s first trillion-level model in the power sector, expanding its application in five core renewable energy business areas. In the first half, it filed 56 invention patent applications, issued two national standards and one industry standard, was approved as an authorized institution of the National Natural Science Foundation, and obtained approval to establish a national postdoctoral research station.

In project development, the Tianjin Binhai New Area Salt-PV Complementary Project and the Jiangsu Sheyang Shared Energy Storage Project were honored as 2025 Quality Power Projects. The company continued to advance large wind-solar base projects in Tengger Desert (Ningxia) and Badain Jaran Desert (Gansu), while accelerating offshore wind power development.
